JAMIE OLIVER’S FIFTEEN - CHEFS WEEK
When the chefs go off on holiday and the apprentice’s take over!
Every year, at the end of August and for one week only, the professional chefs at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen hand over the reins of the kitchen to the apprentices, giving them the opportunity to put their skills to work in the final stage of their training.
This year, as part of Fifteen’s 10-year anniversary celebrations, Chefs’ Week will be like no other. We’re giving the apprentices a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with 10 of the UK’s best chefs during their final week at the restaurant.
Ten fantastic chefs will give up their time to do a lunch or dinner shift at Fifteen between 27 August and 1 September. The apprentices will write the menu and run the prep and service, and our guest chefs will be on hand to offer help, advice and tips of the trade before the apprentices go into the work place.
The week will run as follows:
Monday 27th August
Lunch – Michael Wignall (The Latymer)
Dinner – Pascal Aussignac (Club Gascon)
Tuesday 28th August
Lunch – Jeremy Lee (Quo Vadis)
Dinner – Bruno Loubet (Bistro Bruno Loubet)
Wednesday 29th August
Lunch – Trevor Gulliver & Fergus
Henderson (St John)
Dinner – Jun Tanaka (Pearl)
Thursday 30th August
Lunch – Mark Sargeant (Rocksalt)
Dinner – Nuno Mendes (Viajante)
Friday 31st August
Lunch – Jacob Kenedy (Bocca Di Lupo)
Dinner – Mark Askew (Cirrus Inns)
Saturday 1st September
Lunch – Francesco Mazzei (L’Anima)
All the apprentices have worked incredibly hard throughout their year at Fifteen, and Chefs’ Week is the culmination of their training. We know how much they will benefit from having the chance to work alongside some of the UK’s most renowned culinary talent.
