Made a chicken pot pie for Pi day. Started out by poaching a whole chicken and used the shredded chicken meat and broth to make the pie filling which included potato, carrot, peas and corn. I made a double crust because I personally think the bottom crust is the best part, kinda crunchy while also semi-soaked with gravy...mmmmm. My new pie bird also got to make a debut today, he such a cutie.

I had enough filling for two pies, so I traded half to my friend for some of her amazing whoopie pies so we got to eat our cake and have pie too smile
