London Cocktail Week no4 – Sea breeze

drinks | serves 1
Like most of the cocktails we enjoy today, the sea breeze (pictured on the left) dates from the Prohibition era in the US, in the 1920s and 30s. For a sweeter version, ring the changes by swapping pineapple juice for the grapefruit – this is called a bay breeze.
1. Combine the vodka, grapefruit juice and cranberry juice with ice in cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a chilled glass with ice and garnish with orange peel.
This recipe was selected to mark London Cocktail Week, which runs from 11–17 October at prestigious venues throughout the capital.
