Jamie, burns which could be for life (mentioned in you banana tortin) can be run under cold water, as you said, until the heat is out, then covered with EGG WHITE. It makes lots of sense.

It is absolutely wonderful!!!! Easy to make, pleasant to taste. I have added lemon juice instead of orange peal. Serve hot with ice cream - i will be more than just tasty:) Love Jamie, awesome as always:)

I had been your fan for long long day.. and everytime I found when you show they way you cook every food it looks very delicious. And AMazing! I make the regular tarte tatin and also sauteed bananas , but it never occurred to me to put them in ONE recipe ! Going to make it tomorrow - must buy the ice cream first !

BTW, this recipe is also great with pears

this was absolutly lovely , i tried it a few night ago, i had the family round and it was a real hit, every one seemed to get stuck in and ask for seconds . it very quick and easy to make and i will definately be using this one again ! good man jamie !!!!

Hummm it looks like wonderfull!!! But here in the city where I live in Rio Grande do Norte/Brasil is dificulty to find this type of pastry.I used to do something similar with apples + lemon + cardamom + dark sugar as a filling and the "top" is a mix of butter+ floor + sugar + cinamom..my friends like.
But the nest time I will try your receipe and I am sure that my friends and me will love!

Simply.... i love jamie oliver...
i fell in love with cooking when i saw his tv show at people&arts and then i wanted to be a chef as him!
i love the way he works, hes a wonderfull person and i see his tv shows everyday
im from colombia and i hope someday he comes here to meet hin in person!

Hola soy de Mérida Yucatán México, sigo a Jamie a travez del internet y de Fox Life donde pasan aunque retrasados los programas de Jamie, quiero decir que es un gran chef y por lo que veo un excelente ser humano. Me encanta todo lo que ha hecho en su país y en otros por los jóvenes y ahora por los niños. Me encantaría que algún día él se acercara a la gente latina no sólo en EU sino algún día en México, aquí en mi tierra hay una gran tradición culinaria y él podría aprender muchas técnicas de nuestra gente así como también muchos ingredientes que sólo en nuestras regiones existen, como la chaya, los aguacates locales no el hass, la yuca, las huayas etc. Bueno y por mi parte ojalá volviera a ser rubio jamie se veía mejor que ahora. Me encantaría algún día tener la visita de Jamie por aquí sería más fácil porque yo creo que jamás podría viajar a su país a conocerlo. Muchas Gracias por su atención y si leyeron este mensaje gracias por su tiempo. Su más ferviente admiradora desde Yucatán Reyna Ortiz Celis.
