2013 is an exciting year for Jamie’s Italian as we look forward to celebrating five successful years in Oxford, Bath and Kingston.
But first, we kick off with a real A-list opening in Aberdeen, the “granite city” and now home to the most northerly Jamie’s Italian in the UK. Formerly the Esslemont & Macintosh department store, this listed building on Union Street will be transformed into a stunning 280-cover restaurant. There’s also some great space for our Jamie’s Italian shop, a fitting return to the building’s retail roots and the opportunity for customers to buy what they love and re-create the Jamie’s Italian experience at home.
We’ve employed more than 100 of the city’s most talented and motivated staff to join our Jamie’s Italian family and they are currently being trained to be ready for our opening later this month.
Jamie is also giving the people of Aberdeen a chance to make their own permanent mark on our beautiful new restaurant. He’s on the lookout for budding street/graffiti artists to get creative with some of our wall space – a feature which is popular in many of our restaurants around the UK. We’d like to find a local artist who can present something unique and inspired – to be admired by our diners for years to come. All you need to do is submit three relevant examples of recent work and a vignette(s) of your proposal to firstname.lastname@example.org
