Jamie cooks Italy
Introducing our brand new Jamie Cooks Italy specials menu
Italy – a country that makes you think of great food before almost anything else. It’s the Italian people’s tradition of cooking humble, flavour-packed food to feed the whole family that made Jamie fall in love with Italy in the first place – and his passion for all things Italian is still just as strong.
This year, Jamie and Gennaro have been travelling all over Italy, learning some of the oldest and best-loved recipes from the Italian grandmas – or nonnas as they’re known in Italy – who have been cooking them for generations. You can discover these treasured recipes for yourself in Jamie’s new book, Jamie Cooks Italy, which hits shelves on 9 August. Plus, don’t miss the beautiful stories – and the incredible nonnas – behind the dishes, in the Channel 4 series from 13 August.
Can’t wait til then to try out these epic Italian recipes? Well, neither could we! So from today, we’re running a brand new specials menu here at Jamie’s Italian, with four dishes that really sing of summer, taken straight from Jamie’s travels.
The nonnas’ recipes are all about fresh, seasonal ingredients – often picked from their own veg patches and cooked up for the whole village – that’s an ethos we couldn’t be more behind. We’ve been using the best of local producers and ingredients, as well as making our pasta fresh on site every day, ever since we opened 10 years ago.
Check out the Jamie Cooks Italy specials menu launching today – and watch out for 10 September, when we’ll be mixing it up with a new specials menu featuring four dishes that hero autumnal ingredients and comforting mountain flavours.
We’re so excited to be able to share the nonnas’ family recipes with you, and celebrate Jamie’s latest adventure. Come on in and get a taste of the book, without doing the cooking!
