The cobbled street outside Jamie’s Fifteen London restaurant is to be turned into the biggest street food cook-off the capital has seen.

Talented and innovative traders will be racing to London on September 15th and 16th to take part in the 2012 British Street Food Awards.

Fifteen is hosting the awards as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations.

There are three sessions over the weekend – Saturday 11am-4pm & 5pm-10pm and Sunday 11am – and tickets costing £4 per session are available now, Under 12s can get in for free with a ticket and a paying adult. The winners will be announced on the Sunday.

“British street food is one of the hottest things happening right now, and it’s great to see a wave of new and inventive cooks coming through” says Jamie. “I’m so excited that we’re going to be right at the heart of this fantastic event – Fifteen Street. It’s the bringing together of the best of the best in British street food, including 15 incredible street vendors, a wicked cocktail competition, as well as a great selection of music and entertainment. To add to the excitement, it’ll close with the presentation of the British Street Food Awards. It’s going to be fantastic!”
