Food Revolution Day is coming, so here at Jamie’s London HQ, we are busy planning some brilliant events.
Today’s pick of the bunch is Danny McCubbin’s Supper Clubs, with three cracking events taking place at Fifteen.
One of the aims of the Food Revolution is to reconnect people to traditional cultural food as well as stirring up interest in freshly-cooked and healthy choices for others; so first up on the evening of Friday May 18th there is something spicy going down, with an Indian Street Food Supper Club.
Private chef and food writer Maunika Gowardhan, from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, will host the event with Fifteen graduate Luke Robinson helping out with the cooking. On the menu are 10 dishes and drinks including an Indian veggie burger, masala chops and a koshimbir.

Next up, on Saturday, is Edward Smith’s Pop-up English Pub Supper Club. Edward, or as he is otherwise known as food blogger Rocket and Squash, will be offering seasonal smashers kicking off with a starter of lamb tartare and deep fried egg yolk, followed by a roast loin of pork stuffed with apricots finished off with a delicious rhubarb and custard 'kinda' soufflé. £25 including beer. We’re off east again for Sunday’s belting offering, a Vietnamese Lunch prepared by Uyen Luu where she will teach us how to prepare beautifully fresh special summer rolls. £25 including wine; book here.
