The Jamie Oliver Food Foundation is at the heart of everything that Jamie does. We work in schools, communities, and with disadvantaged young people, and are on a mission to provide better access to food education for everyone.
We’re always looking for inventive, foodie ways to raise money for our programmes, and in 2014 we found a delicious way to do just that, establishing a series of unique supper clubs in support of their Fifteen Apprentice Programme.
The supper clubs are held above Jamie’s Fifteen restaurant in East London, and are catered for by top London chefs volunteering their time, alongside a couple of apprentices from our current Class. All our supper clubs are very relaxed and sociable in style, with a three-course meal and wine included, and are open to any food lovers and Foundation supporters that would like to come along.
Last year, we had a range of guest chefs hosting supper clubs in support of Fifteen, including MasterChef winner Natalie Coleman, Food Tube star John Quilter, media duo Laura Jackson & Alice Levine, and Abdul Yaseen, head chef at Cinnamon Kitchen. The wonderful Sabrina Ghayour – author of Observer Food Monthly’s cookbook of the year 2014, Persiana – also volunteered her skills to host a beautiful Persian supper club in December last year. We rely hugely on the amazing support of our volunteers and sponsors, who have helped us to create our Supper Club Programme. All proceeds from ticket sales directly support the young people on the Fifteen Apprentice Programme, a 51-week chef-training programme delivered by the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation, which uses the magic of food to give disengaged young people a chance at a better future.
