Story by Pete Flatt

The first series of the acclaimed food and travel documentary ‘Two Greedy Italians’ is released on April 2nd ahead of the BBC’s screening of the much-anticipated second series in mid-April.

Old friends and chefs Antonio Carluccio and Gennaro Contaldo return to Italy together to remember their own pasts and discover how mealtimes and attitudes to cooking are changing. Focussing on different Italian regions in each episode, they uncover an Italy completely transformed and modernised in some ways but almost untouched and traditional in others.

This DVD contains 4 tantalizing hour-long episodes which feature Carluccio and Contaldo creating mouth-watering dishes using ingredients and influences they discover along their journey as well as introducing you to some of their own favourite recipes.

Also included are four recipe cards from the series, making this a DVD that’s good enough to eat”¦

Not your average food documentary, this series takes you on a personal journey through Antonio’s and Gennaro’s upbringings in Italy and gives you a true taste of traditional Italian life, whilst reflecting their sometimes fractious, often hilarious relationship.
