Recipe From

Ingredients

500g A better Bolognese

4 crusty bread buns

2 cloves of garlic

4 sprigs of thyme

olive oil

100g Camembert cheese

Top Tip

To cook the buns in an air fryer, prep as directed above, stripping the thyme leaves into the garlic-rubbed buns before you add the cheese. Place the buns, soft middles and garlic in an air fryer at 180°C in a single layer, in batches if needed. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and cook for 4 minutes, then load with Bolognese.

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/gas 4. Reheat the Bolognese in a pan on a medium heat, stirring occasionally and loosening with a little water, if needed.
  2. Slice the tops off the buns and put aside, then use a small knife to help you hollow out the soft bun middles. Peel and halve the garlic cloves, rub the cut sides around the inside of each bun, then sit the buns in a roasting tray, tear the soft middles around them, and sit the bun lids alongside.
  3. Finely slice the garlic and throw into the tray, in and around the buns, strip in the thyme leaves, then drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add a quarter of the cheese to each bun and bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the buns are golden.
  4. Load the Bolognese into each bun and pop the lids on, using the crispy bits as croutons and to mop up any excess Bolognese.
