We'll always be looking for superstars at Jamie's Italian - at every level. To us, what makes someone special is their attitude. Positive, friendly, genuine, team-focused are characteristics that will impress us. Previous experience is essential for some roles but in addition, you should:
• Have loads of enthusiasm and always come to work to do your best
• Interact brilliantly with both team mates and customers
• Genuinely think that giving great service is something to be proud of, whatever your position
In return, you'll be well rewarded, challenged and nurtured within an environment where the highest standards are our benchmark and having fun is essential. We regularly arrange trips for our staff, often to Italy, where they meet our suppliers and experience real Italian life - from a food and drink perspective, obviously! All our trip winners have been nominated on the basis of attitude and team contribution so places are open to all. As Jamie's Italian expands (we are opening more restaurants this year and beyond), our aim is that our team members will learn, thrive and progress. So talent spotting and creating opportunities for development is a priority. We've already promoted several front of house staff to supervisory and management positions and in the kitchen, chefs have been moved up to more senior roles.
Here are some tips for applying to work with us:
- Look out for the "recruiting now" stickers and banners, which will let you know when we're putting a team together for a new opening.
- Visit our current vacancies page and select the vacancy you're interested in answering the questions and attaching a CV.
- Make sure your CV is up to date and that your experience is as relevant as possible as this does count.
- Of course, if you're passing a restaurant and want to drop in a CV in person, that's fine too.

"Plating some pasta at the end of a hectic lunch service it suddenly dawned on me that six months ago I was a Waiter in a cafe who dreamed of working in a kitchen like this and here I am in Jamie's Italian cooking with an amazing bunch of chefs living my dream!
Everyone pulls their weight and makes this Jamie machine run as smoothly as they can. It sounds corny but I literally have to pinch myself now and again just to make sure I'm really here!" Danny, Chef
"Jamie's Italian seemed like a great opportunity and I was even more excited after the first interview - I'd never felt more relaxed at an interview before so I knew I was going to feel right at home! Working as a manager here is certainly never boring; there is always a challenge to get stuck in to and there is always an amazing amount of support from and for every member of the team. I feel truly proud to work with such fantastic people." Mary, Bar manager
"Working at Jamie's Italian you're surrounded by great people which creates a friendly and professional environment to work in. There are good opportunities for promotion which are complimented by great training; Within 6 months I had been promoted to bar supervisor and sent to Italy on an all expenses paid trip. This doesn't happen in your average bar job!" Steve, Bar supervisor
"The busiest shifts initially felt like stepping into a tornado - a flurry of intensity with chef shouting 'service' as you weave through the heat, balancing bowls, frantically trying to stay on top of your tables all the while appearing calm, charismatic and, you pray, competent! Yet while it's undeniable that the role sometimes demands every ounce of energy you can summon, it all comes flooding back when you see the genuine joy the experience has brought the customers, especially when they write in and thank you personally." Emma, Waitress
"It's a friendly and fun place to work. Everyone always seems happy and I feel very satisfied when my shift finishes. I'm very proud of the team here."Tanya, Seater
"I had waitressed for years but the buzz that Jamie's Italian generated made me want to be part of this exciting new venture. We have a great team and I have made some good friends here. I feel proud to say I work for Jamie's Italian!" Ems, Waitress
"Jamie's Italian is different than other places I've worked. The quality of food is higher, the management are brilliant and the standards generally are higher all round. It really makes you raise your game!"Anthony, Runner
