JAMIE COOKS ITALY SPECIALS: TUNA FETTUCCINE
If you tuned into last week’s Jamie Cooks Italy on Channel 4, you’ll have seen Jamie meeting Nonna Maria – the only fisherwoman on the island of Procida, and its most famous resident. We’ve got her amazing Tuna fettuccine on our specials menu, so you can try a taste of the Italian ocean without having to travel.
Nonna Maria’s been making pasta on the harbour with the fresh catch of the day for most of her life. You might have heard never to combine fish with cheese – but this recipe really blows that rule out of the water. The salty pecorino cheese combines beautifully with the creaminess of the chopped almonds, and the sustainable, long-line-caught yellowfin tuna. Sweet cherry tomatoes and melting anchovies combine to make a rich pasta sauce – perfectly served with our fettuccine that’s made from scratch by our chefs, every day.
