What are the awards?
The Jamie Oliver Food Hero Awards celebrate the amazing foodie work happening across Australia that puts the health of kids first. The projects – big and small, whether in school or in the community – are all about creating a better world and happier, healthier children.
When do the 2024 awards open?
Nominations opened on 31 July 2024.
When do the 2024 awards close?
Nominations closed on 30 September 2024.
Who runs the awards?
The awards are run by Jamie Oliver, with support from Organic Agency, sponsors Royal Caribbean International, technology partners Wonde and media partners The Project, Channel 10 News, Taste.com.au, The Daily Telegraph and Nova.
When will the winners be announced?
November 2024.
How can I get involved?
Nominate or apply for one of the awards! Find out more.
Who can enter?
Anyone can nominate someone or apply themselves. Schools, nurseries and pre-schools, community projects, sports groups, food educators, individuals can all enter.

Can I nominate a school or project that is not in Australia?
These awards are only open to Australia. Check out the UK awards.
Do I have to pay to enter?
No, there is no entry fee.
Can I apply or nominate an applicant for more than one award?
Yes, absolutely.
How are the awards judged?
The entries will be shortlisted by our expert panel, who have a great understanding and experience of the Australian food system, across all fields. Then the celebrity judging panel will choose who wins each award.
