The singer, songwriter and actress has enjoyed huge success since her debut in 2009. Afua Hagan

Montell Douglas and Zack George
AKA Fire and Steel from The Gladiators. Montell made history by becoming the first-ever British female Summer and Winter Olympian, by competing in both Athletics and Bobsleigh. Zack is one of the UK’s most decorated and well-known professional CrossFit athletes. They both want to encourage young people to feel confident in themselves and go for their dreams.

Lee is the UK’s leading children’s gardening educator. His commitment to teaching the next generation of green thumbs saw him set up School Gardening Success, which is dedicated to bringing horticulture into primary schools.

Kemi is a trustee, governor, director, and Deputy Leader for Wandsworth Council. Her work with Be Enriched and Brixton People’s Kitchen takes local action to the next level – she’s truly inspiring!
Henry Dimbleby
Henry co-authored The School Food Plan in 2013, a blueprint for government that set out actions to transform what children eat in schools and how they learn about food. He also co-founded the Leon restaurant chain, and the charity Chefs in Schools.

Martin Canavan
Martin has worked in the third sector in Scotland for more than 15 years. He joined Aberlour Children’s Charity in 2014, leading its political engagement, influencing and campaigning work to tackle child poverty, disadvantage and discrimination. He represents Aberlour as a member of the End Child Poverty coalition.
June O’Sullivan OBE
June is a pioneering social business leader, who is renowned for transforming the London Early Years Foundation (LEYF) into the UK’s largest social enterprise nursery group. She’s on a mission to make society a better and more sustainable place for all children and families.

Beth is a Registered Associate Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition, and is the Food Active Policy Advocacy Manager at the Health Equalities Group, a public health charity. Jen makes a difference not only in schools but also the local community. She works with the kids in school to encourage them to eat a healthy diet, teaches the parents how to cook, and holds a summer holiday club all about healthy eating and exercise. This is why she’s 2024’s Food For Fuel award winner for her work at Ysgol Trefonnen Primary, Powys.

Sarah has been the Business Director at North Ridge Sixth Form for 18 years, leading the development of their student-run business enterprises. Sarah’s passion lies in the empowerment, education and employability of young people with additional needs. Sarah’s dream is to replicate their model across the country.

Natalie is the inspiring headteacher at New Lubbesthorpe Primary School in Leicestershire, who’s created a brilliant school set-up, complete with working garden, beehives and chickens, with a local market stall in the works – it’s the definition of a community hub. She’s our 2024 School Leader Food Hero.
