Making the most of your... Curry paste
May 12, 2025We love a curry here at JO Towers. There are times when nothing else will hit the spot. It’s that heady mix of warming spice, richness and vibrant flavours that we can’t resist. Especially when teamed with all the accompaniments.
And now it’s even easier to get one on the table quick-smart thanks to Jamie’s curry pastes. Made from freshly ground toasted spices, they’re absolutely packed with flavour, ensuring your dinners are winners every time.
But did you know that your curry paste can pep up so much more than a curry? Try these other genius ideas…
TAKE YOUR Tikka masala curry paste and try…
- …marinating your meat, fish or tofu in a little paste before cooking. Rub some into your chosen protein (eg, raw meat/fish, tofu), leave for 30 minutes in the fridge – or overnight for maximum flavour – then grill.
- …adding a tablespoon of paste to the base when you’re making soup to give it a spicy twist – this works particularly well with soups that use potatoes or pulses.

TAKE YOUR Creamy korma curry paste and try…
- …simply brushing over some of the paste to coat then roast cauliflower for about half an hour or until tender. Serve in the centre of the table with daal, rice, a crunchy leaf salad and plenty of raita. You’ll never look at the humble cauli in the same way again!
- …adding a spoonful to any fried rice you're making to give it a blast of fragrant Indian spice.

TAKE YOUR Aromatic Kerala curry paste and try…
- …spreading some on toast before topping with cheese for the ultimate cheese on toast!
- …adding a little curry paste to the base of your homemade pizzas, before adding tomato sauce for a secret spicy twist.

- …stirring a spoonful into beaten egg, then scramble as usual and serve on toasted naan bread with a sprinkle of chopped fresh coriander.
