Your questions, answered!

Yes! These products are completely dishwasher safe and will still look good after lots of washes.

Yes, yes and yes! Being oven-, freezer- and microwave-safe makes this range super versatile. Just avoid extremes of temperature (for example, don’t go straight from the freezer to a hot oven), so the thermal shock doesn’t damage the material.

It’s really easy – just avoid using abrasive pads that could scratch the glaze, and cleaning it using strong chemical products. Otherwise, stoneware is a brilliantly durable material that should see you for many years.

The best way to do this is to make a paste with bicarbonate of soda (also known as baking soda) and water, cover the stained area with it, leave it for a couple of hours, then scrub gently with a non-abrasive sponge or nylon brush and rinse thoroughly with warm water. For really stubborn stains, add a small amount of vinegar to the baking soda paste and that should do it. Don’t be tempted to use really harsh abrasive pads or metal scourers on these products.

For a start, it’s super durable (so not easily chipped), retains heat really well, doesn’t have a chemical coating, and – most importantly – looks beautiful! It’s the ideal long-lasting choice for any kitchen.

The beauty of stoneware is that it’s naturally resistant to knocks and chipping – it should look good for many years to come. As with any product, over time it may get the odd chip but this won’t affect the usability of the product.

The Big Love range is made from stoneware, which uses natural and abundant materials, and the process doesn't need chemicals. This process is much more energy efficient than many others, and doesn’t release any harmful chemicals into the environment.

Yes! Because stoneware is made from natural materials, it can be ground down and recycled. Find out if your local recycling centre accepts stoneware and ceramics.
