Mug cake recipes — two microwave chocolate pudding

When you’re in need of something sweet, but time is tight, a microwave mug cake always hits the spot.

You’ll only need a handful of ingredients and some microwave-proof tea cups to make our tried-and-tested mug cake recipes. And the best bit? There’s no need to turn your oven on at all, saving you time and energy. 

If you want to get ahead of the game, you can easily prep these mug cakes the day before – simply divide the batter between your tea cups, cover and pop in the fridge, so you can cook them to order. Dessert, done!

MICROWAVE MUG CAKES

If you’re after an easy microwave mug cake recipe, this one ticks a lot of boxes – it’s perfect for those days when you need a warm hug in a mug! Make sure you use a ripe banana – it’ll add a lovely caramel flavour to the sponge.

You’ll only need 5 ingredients for these cheeky pudding pots, but you’d never guess it. This recipe serves 6, so it’s great for families or if you want an easy, last-minute dinner party pud. Drizzled with citrusy marmalade syrup and cream, these are a proper treat.
