2 onions
4 carrots
olive oil
2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
2 fresh bay leaves
200g plain flour, plus 1 heaped tablespoon
1 tablespoon tomato purée
1 tablespoon wholegrain mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 beef stock cube
100g pearl barley
250g chestnut mushrooms
300g leftover cooked brisket
vegetable oil
4 large free-range eggs
200ml semi-skimmed milk
