Ingredients

6 tablespoons tomato sauce

50g/1.8oz mozzarella

1 fresh red chilli, finely sliced

sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

4 or 5 slices of smoked pancetta, thinly sliced

extra virgin olive oil

Top Tip

It's always better to make your own pizza dough and tomato sauce from scratch if you can. Try these recipes here!

Method

  1. Smear the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza base. Tear the mozzarella into pieces and dob these over, then scatter over as much chilli as you like and season with salt and pepper. Lay the pancetta over the top so it will crisp up during cooking and the juices will cook into the pizza. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and cook until crisp and golden.
