Steamed potato, apple and chicken puree
Save recipe
Not Too Tricky

makes 400g

Ingredients

1 medium potato (200g)

1 medium eating apple

1 x 120g free-range chicken breast

optional: extra virgin olive oil

optional: a few fresh baby basil leaves

Method

  1. Peel and chop the potato and apple into 2cm chunks and slice the chicken into similar-sized pieces, then place into a steamer and steam for around 10 minutes, or until cooked through. Remove from the heat, then either blend to a purée, pulse, mash and/or finely chop depending on the stage your little one is at (for more information on stages of complementary feeding, click here). If it’s a bit too thick, add a little extra virgin olive oil or water to loosen, then leave to cool before serving. Scatter with baby basil leaves, if you like.
