An absolutely brilliant brunch recipe
About the recipe
North of the border they call these tattie scones – teamed with good Scottish salmon they're a dream.
Recipe From
500g floury potatoes, such as Maris Piper, skins on
100g plain flour
a small bunch of fresh chives
2 small knobs of unsalted butter
½ a level teaspoon baking powder
olive oil
5 large free-range eggs
200g really good-quality smoked salmon, from sustainable sources
a few pinches of washed watercress, to serve
extra virgin olive oil
1 lemon, cut into wedges, to serve
Give these a go with bangers, stews, on their own, or as part of this lovely brunch…I assure you this is one of the nicest ways to start the day, ever.
