Easy recipes for kids

June 6, 2019 • In Family favourites, Vegetable, Vegetarian, Healthy, Fruit

Check out these simple ideas to get kids stuck in to some cooking at home. Then celebrate some new-found skills with a delicious meal together.

These easy recipes are a brilliant way to give kids responsibility in the kitchen, and help them feel comfortable prepping, stirring and mixing.

Sweetcorn is always a favourite and this corn salsa is a sure-fire winner with kids. Get even more flavour (and fun) into the dish by rolling the limes around on a work surface before you cut them in half – it’ll help you to squeeze lots more juice out of them.

Kneading the dough to make this flatbread recipe is a great activity for little hands. These flatbreads are lovely just as they are alongside some soup, with a fresh salad or dunked in some homemade dip. Super-tasty, super-fun!

These delicious kebabs are such an eye-catching way to get your little ones eating their veggies. Let them enjoy making colourful patterns with the different ingredients, then serve with the flatbreads above.

This is such a tasty treat and a lovely way to use up overripe bananas – and kids love using a fork to mash the bananas into a pulp! Perfect to wrap up for your next picnic.
