To make the waffle batter, mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Crack in the egg, then whisk in the milk to combine.
Get your waffle machine ready. Once it’s hot, spray with a little olive oil, ladle in the batter mixture and seal, following the machine instructions, and cook until golden. (Mine took 3 to 4 minutes.)
Delicious served with fresh fruit, a dollop of yoghurt and a little honey, if you fancy it.
