We’ve rounded up our favourite recipes for the Easter weekend, whether you’re after gluten-free ideas for spring bakes, trimmings for your bank holiday roast, brilliant brunch or leftovers inspo. These gorgeous gluten-free Easter recipes will guide you through the celebrations with delicious results and smiling faces all round. Happy Easter!

GLUTEN-FREE HOT CROSS BUNS

This recipe makes eight beautifully fluffy buns with plump, juicy currants, warm spices and a sticky orange glaze – the perfect dairy- and gluten-free recipe from baker Nicole Knegt. Or for a fun Easter gluten-free crossover recipe, give hot cross muffins a go – these fruity little cakes will go down a treat.

With a zesty cream cheese icing and gently spiced sponge, the Easter bunny is going to love this carrot cake! Perfect with a quiet cuppa or as part of an afternoon tea. Enjoy!

Not just for Christmas, a beautiful stuffing makes every roast chicken a proper feast! Using gluten-free bread and sausages, plus a splash of cider, make this stuffing utterly delicious, although you can easily swap in regular bread and sausages.

No Easter roast is complete without a good old Yorkie! There are three secrets to a successful gluten-free Yorkshire pudding: sweet rice flour; allowing the batter to rest; and getting the fat super hot in the tin before you pour in the batter.

Who doesn’t love a good waffle?! And this brilliant gluten-free waffle recipe is a real crowd pleaser. Jamie’s used apple and cinnamon as a topping here, but feel free to use whatever fruit you have to hand, or set up a fruit buffet in the centre of the table and let people load up their own.

Crispy on the top, super-gooey in the middle and an utterly mind-blowing chocolate experience, theselittle flourless pots are an honest and delicious expression of chocolate, which are taken to the next level with the citrussy syrup.

For a non-chocolate option, this gluten-free recipe for sticky orange and polenta cake, with an orange blossom syrup, really hits the spot. It’s full of zingy flavour that goes equally well with a cup of tea or a dessert wine.!

Back to chocolate! Aduki beans are used in Japan to make a creamy paste called anko – in this recipe they form the base of wonderfully gooey brownies, which also happen to be dairy-free. Serve them warm for choccy heaven.

ANNA JONES' GLUTEN-FREE PIZZA

If you’re hosting over the long weekend, a relaxed homemade pizza party is always a good shout. Anna Jones’ veggie recipe uses cauliflower as a base for a veg boost. If you prefer a dough base, try this thin, crispy Gluten-free dough or try our Spring flatbread pizzas. Try our suggested toppings or mix and match with your favourites!

Save any leftover veg after your Easter roast to use in this stunning pie, the perfect bank holiday Monday dinner – then let your creativity run wild when you decorate the pastry lid. Or, if you’re heading outside for a picnic, these tasty gluten-free veggie pasties are a delicious vehicle for your leftover veg.
