Re: Whats For Supper?

-

I'm running around to appointments all afternoon today so I'm utilizing the slowcooker.

I sautéed onion, carrot & mushroom & put it in the slowcooker with a huge pile of shredded cabbage, some brown lentils some spicy tomato sauce & salsa plus a kilo of meatballs.

Going to make a salsa verde before I go so I can drizzle it on top when I dish up as slowcooked things often need a bit of kick...

Re: Whats For Supper?

Baby calamari seems to be on weekly rotation here at the moment. With good reason. This lot is about to join pasta, olives, roasted baby Roma tomatoes and caper for dinner. Green salad after. An apple and walnuts if I feel peckish later

Yeah, mine tend to post sideways for some reason. You get the idea, though, I'm sure wink.

Re: Whats For Supper?

Yummy Maree. Love calamari.

When I went to town I scored 3kg of pork & apple cider sausages very cheap. HAve roasted them off to go in onion & thyme gravy with potato mash, beans & broccoli to serve.

Also have 2 big pieces of kangaroo. Something slowcooked I think...

Need inspiration.

Re: Whats For Supper?

Thanks, Frizz. Making the most of locally caught calamari and baby octopus while I can. Your sausages sound good smile.

Re: Whats For Supper?

I have some cheap y-bone steaks so thinking  of stewing them off in red wine & garlic. Probably serve with baby potatoes, steamed carrots & broccoli.
