Re: Whats For Supper?

A recipe from my childhood.  I had some beef mince and wanted to do something other than spag bol or tacos and thought about "chop suey".  I asked my youngest (15) if he wanted chop suey for dinner and he said "whats that" ?  So obviously I haven't made it in a really long time!! Well, long story short it was exactly like I remembered but no one liked it, apart from for me!!  lol  lol  lol

Don't worry, I had to buy chicken and a few things the other afternoon. Daughter was unexpectedly coming up for a few nights. Requested chicken in coconut milk.  Had no choice but to but from the supermarket. Was just about to queue up to pay and realised I didn't have the chicken. Chicken in coconut milk without the chicken is like rhubarb and custard without the rhubarb lol

Re: Whats For Supper?

Thankfully I've got a couple of pounds of rhubarb!  Still looking for somewhere to plant it in the garden so that we can have a steady supply!

Re: Whats For Supper?

That looks heavenly, Ashen!

Gammon steaks for us tonight, probably with some leeks and parsley sauce, and possibly some mashed potatoes.
