It is probably best if you seek help from your doctor or therapist. If you cannot eat what your body requires each day for normal function then doctors and specialists in that area the best people to give you help. There organisation that have websites that may be able to help you as well.  http://www.eatingdisorders.org.au/

You will find that most of the people who post on this forum find eating disorders to be strange. A lot of us live to eat. You may get some responses that you might not like.

Hey Helen,
Like White Rabbit says I find eating disorders strange and difficult to understand, but I recently got a glimpse of the problem. I think it is horrible when all thought start circling about what to eat (or not to eat) the whole day and the whole control thing that's going on around it.
And to be honest it makes me even more certain that this here is not the right place to look for help with your specific problem.
However I just wanted to wish you the best of luck that you find the help you need and make it through! Why not check out the site Rabbit is suggesting for a start?
Good luck!  thumbsup

Helen,

I don't  think that any of the posters here found that you got on their nerves. But like  White Rabbit and Susanne I would advice you to look elswewhere for specific advice for your problem. Maybe your GP is the best person to start with. He/she normally has some ideas for other therapists/counsellors seeing that you don't find that the current one is helping much.

And again...good luck!

You weren't getting on our nerves at all. This forum has a certain amount of information that it can give, by virtue of the knowledge and experience of the people who post here. As sabs said, we just felt you were asking a question/bringing up a topic that may be beyond the knowledge and experience of this forum and that there are better places to ask about medical and mental health issues (ie, a doctor or specialist group).

However if you want to share your tarte tatin recipe and ask for variations then we are amply qualified and will dive right on in.

Exactly!

Or if there are any other recipes or cooking ideas you want to share or have help with (from healthy to sinful) we are experts (or trying to be) on that.

And we are happy to cheer you on, but most of us have difficulties to relate to your specific problem enough to give expertise on that.
