Berndes pots

The terra cotta line of Berndes pots are now on 50% discount and am tempted to give them a try. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with them, and can tell me how cast aluminium and stainless steel pots differ... and if the terra cotta covers make any difference to stove top cooking or oven braising... thanks
