Beef Wellington..... easiest way to make it.

I surfed online and found a variety of recepies but they all seemed either boring, just beef, garlic and a couple of herbs or really difficult with a loooooooong list of ingredients.

I'm making it for the first time, want to make a small one for 2 people, but want it to be nice, who knows the secret to the best BW????

Hi DedDiMaggio

Try this

1 packet of frozen puff pastry
Mushrooms, portabello, sliced and diced
nice piece of beef fillet
a pate of your choice
parsley, chopped flat leaf
mustard
3 home made pancakes, not sweet

roll out pastry, lay cooked pancakes along the middle. spread onto them the pate, then add to that the fried mushroom. roll up and seal the edged with an egg wash , egg wash the top and place in a rpreheated oven gas 6, 220 and cook for 45mins for another 15-20mins for med-well cooked!

cookinlovebird, I think i will try your recipe on Sunday, it seems so easy and tasty, I am going to add duck liver and port pate I think, it's very christmassy!!!

I'm making mincemeat this weekend, but I'm worried I've left it a little late!!!!!
