What to do with chive flowers??

My chives are outta control and are getting lots of flowers.  Not sure really what to do with them, i'm sure they can be used for a lot of things.  Anyone have any tips or advice to what they would go well with??  We usually just give them to the chickens.

Pull them apart just a little and add to salads.  Very mild onion/chive flavor and very pretty.  Also use as a flavorful garnish for a soft creamy cheese appetizer to spread on crackers.  I hope mine are outta control next year!

I eat them on just about anything that you would put the chives into.. chopped roughly and mixed into potato salad,  ontop of  a nice tomato salad with a bit of torn parsley.
something like this

To be honest , if I am out back BBQ'ing and they are flowering I will usually pick a few and just munch on them   lol

also have added them to pasta at the end the mini shells and peas recipe from ministry/revolution.

I am envious.  Mine didn't bloom.  Was it not enough light?  I think so.  I would use them as advised above, they're so pretty, nice touch on a smoked salmon/cream cheese/bagel platter.  You can use them as cut flowers too.

I never even thought about cut flowers, they are pretty.  It would be something different   thumbsup

Like someone else said - put them in a salad.  My mom used to do that all the time and they're really good.  This is the first year that I'm growing chives, so I'm sure I'll be doing that one of these days as well.

I think its the soil here, everything really grows well. I love it!!

Hey Ashen my hubby will grab a few chives and munch on them while he is in the back yard!!  Sometimes I think he eats the rosemary when I'm not looking, he loves that stuff... lol  lol  lol
