I saw one in my garden just a couple of days ago, such majestic looking insects.
My chives have opened their lavender flower faces.

Madamada, you're my inspiration, I remember a few years ago coming back here from a break and reading your words, turning our dulled English language into art, thankyou, your comment means alot. ![]()

Surprisingly, I'm still getting a few tomatoes, and today I picked 5 beautiful figs and some bell peppers. My fall veg are growing well, and if we ever get a frost, the greens will be ready to pick. The cabbage and broccoli is starting to "head up"

ciao Tara Wave Wave
if I go with my camera near the ground I discover lots of things (so to say) a few things from summer still to be cropped
lamponi/raspberies hidden under their leaves bending on the strawberries bed
balm mint in a beet bed
cherry tomatoes plants creeping towards a zucchini plant
looking a little higher
the very last acino of a wild grape ......... so sweet and tasty ........... you would not imagine in full season

Hail !!!
Yesterday afternoon we had the most humongous thunder storm, prefaced by a bombarding of very large hailstones (that broke two of my clay pots on the patio!),
& such has been the drop in overnight temperatures lately......
.....they were still there this morning!
Since then we have had a cold breeze, but wonderful blue skies & sunshine.
Long may it last!
