I have never cooked ,,, but will try to make.....

I have never cooked a meatloaf !

I know that many of you will have your mouths gaping in amazement at this but its not something that is often eaten here in the UK.

I do plan to make one sometime when there are enough people here to eat it .

What have you never cooked and plan to try cooking ?

I have never tried making gluten-free profiteroles, and would like to try.  Maybe I'll give them a go next weekend when I have youngest home to experiment on (I'd only eat them if it was just me and my OH, and it wouldn't do me any good  lol  ).

many things. I started trying out japanese recipes but it feels ridiculous cause there is no way to get the really right ingredients.
I plan to make many fenno-ugrian ancient dishes I havenŽt managed to make yet. some open pies, a bread with a whole fish cooled inside, pea and potato crackers, different types of curd cheese, some drinks based on honey, yeast and apples etc etc
I wanna try making cake roll, just to see if I can crack the physics. I am thinking it will definately break and not roll up smoothly. well I guess IŽll see.

The list of things I've never made/cooked, but would like to is so long:

Fresh Tuna
Scallops
goose
crepes (i've bought store bought pancakes and made the filling, but never made them myself)
japanese food of any sort
french onion soup....

and many other things.

Funny, Japanese food is a big one for me.  Never thought there'd be so many others posting that.  Indian food too.  I love eating it, it's a fav, but am somehow reluctant to try making it, but I will.

mummza, mads, it's Hoe Cake.  That's a nice idea mads.

Um, Cophanta, crepes, what a nice thing to make at home.  I have only made the sweet ones, not the savory buckwheat, well, I tried, but they weren't authentic.  I had them demo'd by a relative from Brittany who was so expert and she talked me through it (in French) and let me video-tape her in her farm house kitchen making them.  What a gem of a lady!  Great crepes too!  The sweet ones that you can buy are really pretty good.

This thread is one week late for me! Risotto has been the one for several years! But then I made it! (And I am looking forward to making it again!)
But I am having trouble thinking of something else. Yet there must be so many things!
