How do you stop babies grinding their teeth?

My first son used to do it a lot. ground them to the root, loads, needed to be taken out. And then he continued. And all but two of the rest had to go too.

I have just heard grinding noises coming out of the babies mouth.

I don't want to go through all that again. What do I do?

I don't know if they would do it with a small child, but I know they make dental guards to put in at night to keep an adult from grinding their teeth.

I dont know abdul, i never encountered that problem, but a few threads on the net look helpful. One page talks of medicins which i would ignore, but you could search advise from his pediatre.

I did ask the dentist about that with my last child. He said they can't do anything on babies. And that they are milk teeth so would be replaced anyway.

I think I will ask again? Maybe another dentist will give another responce.

Anyway it has only just started so there is no damage yet. I think he likes does it because he likes the sound it makes.
