(gardening)potatos and ants
I have a experience of plant potato.
I'm not mean to plant them, but the potatos are buddubg in my refrigerator, I don't want to waste them , so I plant them in my office's balcony(second floor), and I have gave nutriment, water, and let them in the sunshine, 2 weeks after......so many ants there....
Is it need to change the clay?

Is there any sign of growth? Perhaps the potatoes have died and the ants are eating them.

Yup, I can see the bud and root.
The bud are white and purple on top.
Are those ants attract by the starches?

The ants will have made a nest in your plant pot. If you can take it outside and put the whole pot into a bowl of water, or a tub! You'll see the ants came racing out to save themselves from drowning. Once they are all gone you can drain it and take it inside again.

But how can farmer avoid ants?

If there are ants in your area, I don't think you can avoid them, but that soaking idea sounds like a good one!

Farmers have to be on the watch for all sorts of insects. I recognized your problem because I often have ants deciding to make a nest in one of my plant pots. It is nice and safe and stable for them, and if it gets a bit dry they really love it. I soak to get rid of them and then I am careful to keep the soil more moist.
