nomatter what comes before or after these winter radicchi, for me ..... if there is a good evo oil and a homemade vinegar ancora meglio ...... a slice of yesterday's bread and I'm in heaven big_smile

homemilled multigrain   (spelt, barley, buckwheat) loaf with sourdough starter big_smile

sliced with some of myway hummus, if left and a bit dry after a few days, diced  added to a winter radicchi salad with orange yummy

no , Maree ,the board that we have has a tray underneath the slats to catch the crumbs .  Grandmadamada's board looks like it does the same.

no , Maree ,the board that we have has a tray underneath the slats to catch the crumbs .  Grandmadamada's board looks like it does the same.

it's homemade but not by me, I put the hot loaf on it to cool and lose humidity .... and I decided that loaf will be opened tomorrow

if you  leave it untouched the alive "Idonotknowtheir name" saccaromiceti????? invahade from the heart of the loaf the whole mass and you have a bread which is alive and last longer .... if I remember well what I read about 1 kg loaves big_smile

the heat doesn't reach the centre of the loaf and the so called chick is still alive and populates the whole bread again ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh big_smile
