Contacting other members
Hi,
Not sure where to put this request but I'm sure it'll be moved to the right place once the Moderators look at it.
Anyway, I'm a member of another forum; ( on a gardening website); & they have a very useful way of contacting other members directly without having to keep replying to each post added.It's called Private Message or PM & if you click on a person's name you have the option of contacting them directly.It's still done through the forum but when you log on, underneath your name at the top you can see if you have any Private Messages.
Thought it might be useful on this forum too, what do you think

These forums have been redesigned since their original incarnation. When the changes were made some members made that suggestion. I don't think PMs are good on a forum like this. These fora are mostly food question based; there are some chat threads (particularily in leftovers) but on a whole it's not a really chat based forum. Therefore I don't think it's appropriate here as it may take away from that focus and that people may miss info (about foodie stuff) that they may be interested in. PMs certainly suit other forums but here it is enough to just start a message with a person's name to get their attention. Some of the regulars here go to other forums to chat with each other and it seems to suit them well.

HEY RAFA, DELETE YOUR EMAIL AS MANY NOT THAT GOOD PEOPLE OUT THERE MAY USE IT HARM YOUR PC!
