Just wondering whether anyone can recommend some good (but reasonable $$) places to eat in London - the areas I'll be staying are the Paddington/Bayswater general area, Putney and Leicester Square. 

Am heading to the UK in just over a month and would like to try some places that the locals love and recommend rather than take pot luck.

Last time I was over there I tried a few gastro pubs which were fantastic.
