Not sure if this goes

I am normally a stickler for following a recipe out of a recipe book. however owning ALL of Jamie Olivers Cookbooks i have eventually been inspired to try something of my own. now i have an idea of ingredients (some of them anyway) but i am not really sure if they go.

In the lastest book he talks about salads and mixing different textures and flavours etc, but im not sure if this works.

anyway here are some of the ingredients that i am thinking of using, but im not 100% sire if they go together, now i know i can just go try it, but i wanted to get an opinion first before i jump in

Little Gem Lettuce.
Radish sliced.
Finely sliced carrot.
Lightly roasted fennel seeds.

and i was thinking either a little Extra Virgin Olive Oil or some Balsamic vinegar.

I was going to do this as a side salad to some fish, maybe Tuna although again not 100% sure. What do ya think question

hi Steve, I'm sure the salad will be fine. However, I'd be tempted to cook the fennel with the fish, don't over do them as they are very strong in flavour!

BUT ALITTLE MANGO, GO WILD.
YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE.
THE SALAD WILL BE FINE BUT JUICE IT UP.

THROW PEANUT OIL IN IT OR DIJION MUST. A RAW EGG YOLK..

maybe try throwing in  some finely sliced fresh fennel instead of the seeds.... similar flavour profile fresher taste.

The fennel bulb thin sliced like cabbage would add amazing crunch to the salad too!!!

you're right, you should just go try it.

no opinion matters more than your own if you're the one eating it.

be brave, be bold, be honest about the results, then try something else.

you'll be flying in no time.
