Chocolate bread!!!

This is a recipe that a friend of mine gave me this morning at university; yesterday I promised this recipe to maree, but it's for all of you... try it and let me know if you like it!!!

Chocolate bread (Panini al cioccolato)
250gr flour "00"
1 yeast (not that one in powder...in the cube...I don't know how does
it           says in english...very sorry!!!)
70gr butter
1,5dl milk
1pinch of salt
1teaspoon sugar
pieces of chocolate


Mix flour and yeast. Melt the butter in the milk on a low flame and add to the flour. Amalgamate the other ingredients and let it rise.
Paint with yolk.
In the oven at 180°C

Becky, the recipe sounds wonderful. Did your friend say for how long to cook @180?

Do you mean "fresh" yeast instead of the dried type?

Will find the brioche recipe ober the weekend.

You have a convection microwave oven, right?

Any one know the equivalent of "1 cube yeast" (? Fresh yeast) to teaspoons/gm of the "instant" yeast which is all we seem to be able to buy these days?

Yes maree, it is the fresh yeast....you can find it into the fridge at supermarket...for the instant yeas I think it's enough to use only a yeast sachet...but I'm not sure!!!let me know if you try...do not forget!!!

Maree, a yeast sachet is about 15gr ............

ehi maree, my friend said me that you have to cook the bread for about 1 hour........

I HAVE TO CORRECT THE RECIPE...IT'S NOT A TEASPOON BUT A -SPOON-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
