Re: Milk is really weird, isn't it

I think it's one of the best drinks to be had, nothing beats a cold glass of semi skimmed milk.  smile

Semi-skimmed...yuk...for me it's full cream all the way, not extra cream just the normal 4% fat.

Re: Milk is really weird, isn't it

Thanks Deb, I appreciate you sticking up for me.  I don't fully understand that no one shares my bafflement at wanting to drink mothers milk for weaning baby cattle, so maybe it's just me.  I wonder if drinking human breast milk throughout adulthood is one step less weirder? At least it was designed for human consumption, even if not adult human consumption.   puke

Luckily, I have no compulsion to ruin strong fresh coffee by putting anything at all in it, except maybe the occasional dunk of an amaretti biscuit.

I'll take a glass of Rioja over a tepid glass of milk too Deb.

I'll take my human breast milk in pill form, thank you very much.  I read about a recent study where adults given the beneficial elements of it in supplement form had seventy times fewer viruses than the control group taking placebos.  If they were selling it in pill form, I'd spend my money on it.

Rasher, do you eat butter and cheese, because they are pure milk in another form... in fact, you could say cheese is even weirder because it's putrefied milk.

lol  John you're not making this any better!!

Butter, yougurt and cheese taste different from plain milk. Wine is putrefied grape juice and it's marvellous!!!!!!!!!

I often have the exact same thought about what exactly milk, eggs and cheese etc are and how strange they are... but I still love them  mrgreen

I think that if we all worried about how exactly everything gets to our kitchen we wouldn't eat a thing!!!
