Re: Vegetarians

Its OK, ooboyle - you were tired and stressed when you posted - writing funding proposals can be a really bugger - I know, I've done too many of them myself.

Re: Vegetarians

To those seeking vegetarian/vegan/raw food recipes, www.vegweb.com is a great site I use often.
You can also omit any unappetising (to you) ingredients in any recipes or use meat substitutes (yuck, veggo sausages..but that's my opinion)..
eg:I cooked one of the 'Jamie at home' bean recipies that's meant to be accompanied with monkfish which I substituted with parsley and basil battered eggplant slices and it was awesome.
Just use your imagination as lentils can be 'meaty' and falafel is fantastic for mince dishes etc.
Desserts are a bit trickier from a vegan's perspective though, to me:
Egg= Egg replacer or apple sauce or bannana or extra flour and some oil
Honey= Sugar + water (slightly caramelised is best) or apricot jam
Milk= Soy or Rice or almond milk
Cream= Coconut cream

I too have never felt better since I went vegan.. spiritually too..
but that's my experience, not my lecture smile

Re: Vegetarians

If all of us chicken lovers didn't eat their eggs or meat, there would be no one to support the free range farmers. So the only industry that would thrive would be the battery hen farmers, don't you think? smile
