Jamie Magazine asks - your favourite chip shop?
Hello everyone. Just a quick line to introduce myself. My name is Paul and I work on the magazine. I also run the magazine’s website, which, as you may know, had a bit of a redesign recently. Even so, we’re looking to make it a bit more interactive so, as a step in the right direction, I’ve started this thread to enable you guys to answer questions that are posed in the mag or by my colleagues. The first one is about chips. We have a feature in our new issue about the British love of chips and we recommend 14 chip shops in the UK that serve a cracking portion though, chances are, your favourite isn’t among them. So my question is what is your favourite chippie and why?

You can take away or eat in in their dining room
Not a kebab, pizza or burger in sight!

King's Head in Santa Monica, California. Best fish I've ever had and great Scottish eggs.

Would love to be able to go to a fish and chip shop - but with two (and probably soon to be three) coeliacs in the family, it is simply not possible. But the day a gluten-free chip shop opens, we'll be there en masse ![]()

There's the Beech Road Takeaway in Chorlton, right beside the water meadows. It's good, made even better by its location.

Does anyone know any good ones around Bournemouth?
