Pot-roastmeatloaf recipe. p161
It says to bake the loaf for half an hour at 475F. This must be an error. There is no way it would cook. Does anyone know the correct time?

food revolution I would imagine, called ministry of food in UK ..
I think that timing is right personally, it is just a matter of reading the entire recipe carefully .
The section at the bottom "to finish and serve your meatloaf" specifically ,but also the other sections . This is the step where you add the sauce and bacon and such. The meatloaf is then put back into the oven and cooked for an additional 10 to 15 minutes. With only 1 pound of beef in it I think a total of 40 to 45 mins at 400 F is more than suffcient. Yes I said 400 F not 475 F.
The recipe calls for the oven to be preheated at 475 F but to turn down the temp to 400 F immediately after you put the meatloaf in the oven .

I make it all the time and it's fantastic. You bake it for 30 min, then add the sauce lay the bacon over top and put it back in for another 15/20 minutes. The timing works out fine. Enjoy!
