Re: let me ask my silly question of the day
my silly/wise answer would be do not use microwave and let the soup take its time and you too (youtu-be
) when I make polenta it takes 40 mins, I decide that I follow it and that it's our time together, you cannot be against and in a hurry with something good you are going to eat, too much philosophy eh? for working people but a soup is not a panino, if you have not time make yourself that otherwise honour a soup with the time it needs even if reheated
cuoco Roberto thaught me that and I agree

Re: let me ask my silly question of the day
I have to admit that I have occasionally popped a bowl of soup into the microwave , but most f he time I reheat the soup in the saucepan , so Grandmadamada , I am delighted to know that I am honouring the soup before I eat it ! ![]()

Re: let me ask my silly question of the day
I have the same philosophy about taking the time to honour food, but I don't think there is anything inherently dishonourable about a microwave. Be it a fire, stovetop element, gas ring ,oven, microwave or steamer, all are simply a means to transfer energy. Using a microwave simply because it is fast , without thought to how it affects quality , is what gives them a bad name. On the other hand if you understand its properties and use it as such, it can be a great choice to use in some cases, as this link talks about
