Re: Whats For Supper?
That's just how I like to cook Mada.............so fresh it squeaks.
I have a shortage in the garden this year (though IF the weather does finally change for the better it will be gluts-ville all the way!) because of the rain & gloom, so have had to buy veg at the market.
Lots of people were saying the same as me..............the only plus is that I haven't had to water anything yet.

Re: Whats For Supper?
I was not able to sow radicchietto this year, once beacause of the heavy rain taking the seeds away, maybe, second time I covered it with an old table cloth and it has grown so raro in the sense of one here and anothe one there/seldom/miserable ..... I start thinking it's leek or peperoni year for my orto

Good luck to you gardeners! Parsley is all I am getting at the moment!
Supper last night was chicken and leek pot pie. Very yum, but I filled them too much and today I need to clean the puddles at the bottom of the oven. ![]()

Don't envy you, Joy. I had that happen once too often for me and now put the pie/whatever dishes into a baking pan. That way I've only got the pan to clean not the floor of the oven.

Re: Whats For Supper?
After getting the fridge and freezer stocked with good food I looked out at the cold and rain and decided I needed to run away to the fish n chip shop. Yum.
Maree, I have learnt my lesson! ![]()

I had a funny moment the other day. I was making two custard pies and over-filled, plus my oven is not level. On trying to level the pan with a big of wadded up foil, I tipped the custard into the bain Maree - icky mess, but so glad not much of it landed elsewhere. I pulled out another sheet tray, boiled more water for the bain Maree, cleaned up my mess and had to let a couple of clouds of smoke escape as the few drops of custardy water hit the elements. The whole time, I patted myself on the back over making two pies so quickly . . . meanwhile, my nervous neighbor phoned three times and I was unable to answer because of all the doings!
