sweet pesto
what do you think of a pesto I added to an improvised apple something layed on what I suspect is for you a crumble ..... and is baking now in my oven spreading a delicious smell around the house
I started with the fallen to the ground russet apples
oatmeal and barley flakes
grated stale bread
sultanas
cinnamon
philiphines sugar cane
butter and a little flour
lemon verbena and cardamom seeds pesto added on top

Re: sweet pesto
with the stale bread and oats it sounds almost like a cross between what I call a crisp and a brown betty. I am sure you are right though, the best name for it is tasty. ![]()

Re: sweet pesto
when I read recipes and then mix what I have stored in mind I think I'm doing the same process that people have done to create them plus looking around in cupboards and pantries and ortos and campos .......... to bake something good and then forget again what it was ............. to have the excitement of inventing again and again
