15 minute lunches
Mr Rabbit likes to utilise the cooking facilities at his work to do more interesting lunches than your average toasted sandwiches. He's used the little toasty oven to do slow cooked lamb shanks, he's also used it for fish in a bag. He's also tried the pot noodle recipes from that river cottage bloke.
Being that we are now in a bit of a 15 minute meals love affair, does anyone have any ideas for hot (or warm) lunches that can be made in 15 minutes with your standard lunch room equipment.
They have:
microwave
sandwich press
toaster oven
regular toaster
boiling water

Is this stuff to make fresh, rather than reheatable stuff brought from home? Cos my first thought was calzones - they're easier to reheat than pasties, as you can microwave them without ruining the crust. Then if you have a toaster oven type thing you could crisp them up.

Is the panini press ribbed or flat?

I think it's ribbed.
And yet to make fresh.

Re: 15 minute lunches
Jamie does waffles on a griddle pan, if the press is flat, maybe you could do that.
By flat I mean not angled, otherwise the batter would dribble out. It would have to be ribbed to make sort of waffles. If it's smooth AND flat, you could make pancakes (drop scones or crepes), crumpets, muffins, all sorts like that. Maybe even an omelette, although that might run off the side.
