meatloaf glaze

Ive made a meatloaf in the past but didn't add a glaze, just bacon on top.
This time id like to do the glaze.....I've noticed a lot of glazes call for brown sugar...does this just make it nice and sticky I don't want it turning out sickly sweet...
here is the glaze recipe i have
1/2 cup ketchup
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon dry mustard

There is lemon juice in this so it may tone down the sweetness
I'll be making it in a loaf tin like I did before.
Does this glaze sound OK I'm making the loaf with minced Beef.  big_smile

Re: meatloaf glaze

Give it a taste before adding all the sugar . . .  sounds like it'll be both tangy and sweet, the ketchup will get kind of glaze-like as well as the sugar, so if you want to add less sugar, I think it'll still get nice and sticky.

You have been missed my friend!  I'm ok.  I'm getting over a badly broken ankle, but am walking again, yay, sort of.
