Re: Help!!!
Hi Lingie and a warm welcome on board.
Now then, what to make for your hosts at Christmas. Rather depends on your cooking skills. What areas of cooking are you good at? Simple or complicated? Give us a clue Lingie and I'm sure you'll receive lots of ideas.

Firstly .. Which country do you live in ?
It will make a difference to the type of thing that gets suggested.
And it sounds like you are planning to make something sweet .. Am I right ? Or are you considering a savoury dish ?

Re: Help!!!
How about a trifle or pavlova? Both will travel well.

Re: Help!!!
Are you wanting to bring something for dinner or as a gift? If it's a component of a meal then you should better ask the host first if there is anything she would like you to bring whether it be a vegetable or meat or pasta dish. If it's a baked good then you have more freedom to bring whatever you want but I would be weary to bring a lasagna dish and then find out that his Mother made a lasagna dish too, quelle horreur!
Since it's the holidays I'm bringing around gingerbread cakes to everyone I know.
